The city of Alghero is preparing to welcome the first edition of the Alguer Wine Week, a wine festival that promises to become an unmissable event for lovers of wine, gastronomy, music and culture.
The event will take place from 2 to 6 July in Lo Quarter – Largo San Francesco, in the heart of the historic center of the Sardinian-Catalan town.
The 2024 edition starts with the launch of a major international event: from 3 to 5 July the city of Alghero will host the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Sparkling Wines Edition, a prestigious competition dedicated to sparkling and effervescent wines from all over the world.
The Alguer Wine Week will accompany this extraordinary event, hosted for the first time in Sardinia.
WINES, MUSIC, EVENTS AND SHOWS
Visiting the Alguer Wine Week will be like diving to discover the wineries of Sardinia and their most representative wines, for a sea of tastings.
It will be a week dedicated to the celebration of the island’s wines: the square of Lo Quarter will be animated by the stands of the Sardinian Wine Consortia, each committed to presenting the products of the wineries that are part of it, ready to tell their story and terroir unique in Sardinia, a true “Wine Island”.
The tastings will be accompanied by events, music and DJ sets, to create a fun and pleasant atmosphere, immersed in the magical evenings of summer in Alghero.
The Alguer Wine Week will represent a unique opportunity to explore the viticultural diversity of the entire region.
