The great world rally returns to Sardinia.
From 30 May to 2 June, Alghero hosts the 21st edition of the Rally Italia Sardegna, in continuity with the alternation decided some time ago with Olbia, home, in 2023, of the international event.
Three stages divided into three days for a condensed rally which will already follow the guidelines dictated by the FIA regarding the routes of the 2025 WRC rally events.
The Service Park will be located on the Alghero seafront with the press room and rally headquarters in Lo Quarter, a few steps from the Service Park.
Four months after the start, with the publication of the Rally Guide 1 as the first official document of the RIS 2024, the route that will host the rally organized by the Automobile Club of Italy in partnership with the Sardinia Region has been revealed. A path that has seen the choice of the last seven editions to host the entire race in the north of the island confirmed.
There will be 16 special tests scheduled, divided into three stages for a total of 266.48 timed km, all on dirt roads with a compact and intense development.
It will start on Friday 31 May with the Olmedo shakedown (2.14 km) scheduled for 8.01 am and then in the afternoon at 1.30 pm the start of the first stage consisting of 77.82 timed km and four special stages, those repeated twice in Osilo-Tergu ( in the 25.65 km long version) and Sedini-Castelsardo (13.26 km).
Then on Saturday 1 June the second stage, the longest with 149.36 timed km and 8 other special stages. In the morning the tests repeated twice in Tempio Pausania (12.03 km) and Tula (22.81 km), then after the Tire Fitting Zone in Pattada in the middle of the day, in the afternoon the classic special stages of Monte Acuto in Monte Lerno will be held -Alà Mountains (25.17 km) and Coiluna-Loelle (14.67 km).
Finally, on Sunday 2 June the final stage of only 39.30 km timed, with the last two time trials of Cala Flumini (12.55 km) and Sassari Argentiera (7.10 km) which will host the final Power Stage
To underline, for this year, the interesting RIS Experience initiative, with special paid privileged areas provided for those spectators who want to use them, an initiative that had already been successfully adopted in previous editions.
